The Proton Beam Therapy Program at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center in Rochester, Minnesota, treats the largest number of people with cancer in the world. We offer pencil beam scanning, the most precise form of proton delivery, to treat a wide range of cancers, including brain cancer, head and neck cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, lymphoma, pediatric cancers and more. Proton therapy’s precision reduces short- and long-term side effects and is beneficial in treating tumors adjacent to critical and sensitive tissues. To help even more people with cancer, Mayo Clinic is expanding this program and doubling our capacity to treat 900 additional patients per year by 2027.
