Simon on each and every visit. Dr. Simon has been healing dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, and small rodents for over 30 years with both traditional and alternative/holistic medicine. Woodside is a full service clinic which performs all standard veterinary care including exams, laboratory tests, x-rays, dentistry, and surgery. However, woodside also offers a wide array of alternative treatments including: nutritional therapy, herbal therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, chiropractic, homotoxicology, pulsed magnetic therapy, amino acid therapy, micro-current therapy, prolotherapy and amino acid therapy to name just a few. Dr. Simon is a past president of the oakland county veterinary medical association (ocvma) and a past board member of both the american holistic veterinary medical association (ahvma) and the southeastern michigan veterinary medical association (semvma) . He is the author of 3 books on dog and cat care and a handbook on bird medicine. He presently writes monthly articles for natural awareness magazine and for over 10 years wrote a pet care column in the daily tribune. He has received awards from both the semvma and the mvma for enhancing the image of the veterinary profession. Dr. Simon is the creator of people, pets, and vets, an educational program about pets and their health care which has become part of the michigan veterinary medical associations public relations program. His face appeared on the cover of the natural pet magazine and his clinic has been featured in the daily tribune, the detroit news, and the oakland press.
