Welcome to Village Veterinary Center, where our goal is to care for the needs of our clients as well as the health of their special friends. We are a full service companion animal hospital with a state of the art facility and a staff of caring, experienced professionals. Medical and surgical excellence, preventive medicine, and sound nutritional counseling are the main focuses of our staff. We also feature a large, secure outdoor play area for boarders and patients, as well as a separate boarding room for our feline friends.<br><br>About Village Veterinary Center:<br><br>Dr. Drew LeCompte is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, The Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, and, The Iowa State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. LeCompte opened his first practice (Home Veterinary Services) in downtown Lafayette in 1993. That practice subsequently developed into Village Veterinary Center with a move to Youngsville in January, 2009. <br><br>The technical staff is well trained and experienced. Heather Blackburn, lead technician, holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University and has over twelve years experience as a veterinary technician. Rachel Wellbrock, veterinary technician, is a graduate of the University of Louisiana. She began her career in veterinary medicine as a volunteer with a local humane society and has been employed with Village Veterinary Center for over a year.
