Description

Services We Provide
At Town & Country North we are a small clinic dedicated to the pets and people we serve. We understand that you chose us from a variety of options and we thank you.
We offer vaccinations against a variety of diseases. We offer three year vaccines for cats and dogs. Our kitties recieve non-adjuvant vaccines to help prevent vaccination reactions. Dogs recieve vaccinations based on there activities following AVMA guidelines.
Its no secret that personal hygiene plays a large roll in ones health. That statement stands true for our pets as well.

Much like us, a day at the spa is just what the doctor ordered! Let us pamper your pet for the day at our full service, all breeds grooming salon. We ask that you drop off between 8 and 9 A.M., and we will call you when your pet is beautified. You may pick up immediately, or enjoy a quiet house. We are available for pick ups until 5 P.M. In addition to the standard bath and hair cut, your pets nails will be filed, his/her ears cleaned, anal glands expressed, and be sporting either a bandanna or bows, and only the best designer doggie colognes! For additional pampering we offer teeth brushing, furminator hair removal treatments, and nail painting.
At our facility we perform spay and neuter operations for dogs, cats, and rabbits. We require that the pet be fed dinner the night before any anesthetic procedure before 10 P.M. and be dropped off with us on an empty stomach between 8 A.M. and 9 A.M. The vast majority of the surgeries we perform go home the same day. Our staff will be in contact with you through out the procedures to ensure that all the medical care desired is performed. We will call you when your pet is awake from the anesthetic, and give you a more specific time for pick up. We are conveniently open until 5 P.M. for late pick ups.
Our general anesthesia is an inhalant which alleviates the risk of an injectable anesthetic. The anesthetetics we use are Isoflourane and Sevoflourane (also used as a human anesthetic). It is our policy for all anesthetic procedures to have a signed anesthetic form from the patients owner, in which your pet will receive a Pre-Anesthetic Blood Profile which checks liver and kidney function, clotting times, and a Complete Bloodcell Count before anesthesia is administered, and the option to choose an IV catheter and administration of fluids through out the procedure, and the inplantation of a Home Again International Microchip.

Our in house laboratory has the ability to run a multitude of blood work within minutes. This is a great advantage if we have a patient that isn't feeling well or might have another medical issue. With having this capability, we offer a senior package that allows us to monitor any changes to your loved ones liver, kidneys, and other vital organs. In doing so, we can spot potential problems sooner and thus prolong your pets life.
Dental procedures are routinely performed as well. We have the capability to scale, polish, extract, and file teeth. We also have an outside company called Pet Dental Services that perform non-anesthetic dentals. They complete the full dental procedure with scaling and polishing without the use of any anesthetic, however if the patient has loose or broken teeth that need to be extracted, the patient will have to under go anesthesia.

Microchip implantation is also another service we preform and recommend. We use Home Again international microchips. This is a great way of ensuring your pets safety. It has become standard practice for all veterinarians and shelters to scan pets for a microchip in the event a pet is found. Microchipping is the only form of non-removable identification. Our current promotion with Home Again is that with the purchase of the microchip, they include the first year of registration costs and we take care of all the registration paperwork for you. If you report your pet lost to Home Again, they fax a missing pet poster to every veterinarian in Georgia. As a veterinary clinic when a pets microchip is found we place a call to Home Again and they give us your phone numbers. It's that simple!

We offer referrals to a variety of Universities, Professional Laboratories, and Specialists to ensure your pet gets all the medical attention he/she deserves. Some of these include the University of Georgia, University of Tennessee, Antech Laboratories, Georgia Veterinary Specialists, and many others. Having all of these resources at our finger tips puts your pet in better hands.

Radiographs and ultrasound are provided by our sister clinics. We can provide transportation of your pet as needed. Dr. Michael Davis performs our abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds thru Town & Country South. He has the ability to provide ultrasound guided biopsies for minimally invasive and pain free procedures.

Dr. Taylor has 30 minute appointments allowing us to spend time with our patients (your pets) and you. It would be beneficial to bring in a urine and/or fecal sample if relevant to your pet's symptoms (annual exams and puppy/kitten packages require fecals). If you need a container, just stop by, we will provide one. The doctors and staff at Town & Country North Veterinary Clinic believe that each pet and that pets needs are different. We cater to the individual needs of each and every pet that comes through our doors. So whether you have a "social butterfly" or a "shy violet" we will help give you the care and time to keep your pet healthy and happy for years to come.

Let us watch over "Fluffy" while you are out of town. We have recently gotten our kitty-cat-condo's installed and ready for boarding use! Our state of the art condo's allow your kitty to sit on a perch overlooking his/her surroundings, lounge lazily in the larger part of the "living room", and have their own private bathroom with an enclosed litter box. We do not board canines, so rest assured your kitty will be much less stressed than your traditional kennel due to our quiet facility. All of our boarding patients must be up to date on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines. All other vaccines are recommended and can be provided. For your pets health and safety, all pets are thourally checked upon entry to the boarding facility for fleas or other topical parasites and will be treated if any are found to be present at the owners cost. All food, bowls, litter, and boxes are provided, but you may bring your own if desired. Discounts are offered for multilpe pets, as well as for weekly stays.
