James Donald Mathis open a Feed and Hardware store in December of 1946. In 1974 Robert James Mathis joined his father in the business and in 1980 expanded the size of the store. In 1997 we joined the Ace corporation as Our Own Hardware was bought out by Do-It Best and we didn't want to join them. In 2002 we built a new store and tripled the size of our old store. In the same year Scott James Mathis joined his father in the business. In 2013 we added a greenhouse and this year we added Valspar paint.
