Louis Kim, M.D. is chief of Neurological Surgery at Harborview Medical Center and UW School of Medicine's professor and vice chairman of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Kim strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr. Kim specializes exclusively in the treatment of cerebrovascular and spinal vascular lesions such as brain aneurysms, AVMs, and cavernous malformations. He is board-certified in neurological surgery and is part of a select group of neurosurgeons across the U.S. fellowship-trained in both open vascular/skull base microsurgery and endovascular techniques for the treatment of cerebrovascular and spinal vascular diseases. Dr. Kim’s clinical research relates to patient outcome measures and refinements of surgical and endovascular techniques in aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, skull-based tumor and cavernous malformation surgery.
