Elizabeth Butler, DO, F.A.C.S., F.A.C.O.S., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with Saint Luke’s Surgical Specialists. Dr. Butler specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the breast. Her clinical interests include high-risk breast lesions, prophylactic breast surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and BRCA mutations. Dr. Butler has specialized training to assist patients who are high-risk for breast cancer, including those with BRCA 1 and 2 mutations. She also performs the techniques of oncoplastic breast surgery, hidden scar technique, uses wire-free localization technology, and continues to expand her training with the latest advancements in surgery to assist her patients in management of their breast disease. In conjunction with anesthesia, she and her team use Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols to decrease opioid use and postoperative nausea and vomiting.
