ABC?s Extreme Home Makeover shows have the option of choosing any contractors they want, but they decided on Cavado Concrete the first time, then came back to us a second time because our work and craftsmanship are second to none. A brief snippet about our work on the show inIrvington, NJ: It's the largest and most difficult build "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has ever done. The project ? the first in New Jersey for the Emmy Award-winning reality television show will be the largest and highest house ever built by "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Adding to the difficulty of the build is the 50 by 124ft lot, the narrow roadways, the need for handicapped access and the limited space for staging due to the dense development in the vicinity of the building site. Although the show allows seven days for the build, the actual construction time will be only four days. "This is the Super Bowl of construction," said Joe Marino, president of Century 21.
